With an increase in the popularity of business strategies that enable companies to rapidly fill their pipelines with multiple clinical candidates, more and more companies are choosing to take a "portfolio approach" to building their pipelines and bring more programs to into proof of concept studies than they plan to actually move forward into pivotal studies. But the odds are that most of those programs will fail before the FDA sees them anyway. This roundtable will provide commentary from experts on how to manage a full, yet balanced pipeline, how minimize the potential of late-stage failures, and how to avoid getting dragged into a crisis when a program must be cancelled.
